Pirates are free

Pirates love freedom, are independent and self-determined. Blind obedience is declined. Pirates do not let themselves be observed. Pirates are incorrupt.

Pirates act voluntarily

Pirates do not let themselves be forced, nor do they force other people or pirates into any kind of act. No majority of people can force another person into any kind of act. As soon as a group constrains someone it loses its innocence and has to be dissolved.

Pirates are peaceful

Pirates decline violence. Any pirate's foremost strength is his voice. While lots of pirates produce lots of voices, it is important to demonstrate unity in common goals. Pirates are able to settle disputes verbally, without losing their temper. Pirates resolutely reject any connection to rioters, since they represent the direct opposite.

Pirates respect privacy

Pirates set a high value on the constitutional ensured privacy. They know that there can not be a democratic and free society without private and unobserved spaces. Pirates dismiss actions of surveillance that constrain privacy as those circumvent a free development of the individual and cut democratic plurality.

Pirates are curious

Pirates do not accept things unquestioningly but think for themselves. Critical review of media is utterly important. Pirates pierce systems to understand them completely. So they reveal weak spots and flaws to improve those systems.

Pirates are inventive

Pirates are creative, they constantly develop new ideas. They are not incorporated by old fashioned ways of thinking and are open for approaching problems in a new or different way. Pirates realise projects and activities as a community. Existing projects are improved continuously and new innovative ideas are brought forward.

Pirates speak up

Pirates do not remain silent if something does not suit them but they criticise in a factual and constructive way. They stick to their word and do not utter alleged absolute truths hastily. Pirates are courageous. They make use of their empathy but they also know when to keep quiet at one point.

Pirates are fair

Pirates represent a political culture, where factual contents and arguments are important. Pirates do pay attention to the commandments of objectivity and fairness. People who think in another way are not affronted or mobbed by any Pirate in a way which may does not accord to the dignity of man. This principle applies to and for any Pirate and any man who thinks in another way.

Pirates esteem life

Pirates do have regard and respect to live. Death penalty never an option. Killing animals for fun and destroying nature and environment are rejected by any Pirate.

Pirates have moral courage

Pirates are acting against the look-away-society and always behave spunky. They do not do nothing in situations where moral courage is necessary. Pirates do not look away and do not have trust in others who may help or may not. (?) Pirates do act theirself and decide what to do.

Pirates are tolerant

Pirates do not discriminate anyone for any reason. Neither because of geographical or social background, nor because of believing or dis-believing, nor because of the look-alike of a man (color of skin or physiognomy), nor because of language, gender, sexual preferences, culture, physical or mental abilities, state of health, any political view, age or kind of living.

Pirates do not steal

Pirates do respect any applying or valid law. Pirates do respect any material private property. Pirates do respect any author or originator and their producing. Pirates turn against exploitation. Pirates do not take all the credit. Pirates are willing to support creators of culture and any creative. A Pirate furthermore is willing to be responsible for the survival of culture.

Pirates are social

A Pirate does not let fall anyone through the social network. In special a Pirate keeps any minority in mind when trying to find a good solution for the community. Pirates try to be as emphatic as possible and try to think like other people to get a clear idea of what they are and what other people think of them. Pirates do not just think of their own small world, they think of the "big world outside" which has to be redesigned in a better way. (Verbesserungsvorschläge?)

Pirates are global

Pirates are a part of a global movement. Thus pirates think global to take part in handling the problems of our world in the long term.

Pirates are understandable (Pirates act self-explanatory)

Anything a Pirate does is done as easy as possible and as complicate as necessary. Pirates want everyone to understand any rule of the game. Pirates use a clear and understandable wording.

Pirates are humans

Pirates have the same negative characteristics as other humans. But they fight every single day for their ideals like freedom, variety, openess, tolerance and many more in their daily contact with other fellow men. And pirates do make mistakes too, but they stand for them and do learn from them.
