Als Antwort auf die anlasslose Vorratsdatenspeicherung, grenzenloser Email-Überwachung, ACTA und allen ähnlichen kommenden Gesetzen in diese Richtung startet die Piratenpartei die Operation elektronischer Leviathan. Ziel dieses Projektes ist die Schaffung einer dezentralisierten Verteilung von Informationen, wie man Anonymität und Verschlüsselung nutzen kann um Privatssphäre und freien Informationsaustausch sicherzustellen. Die Aktion ist frei: Kopiert und teilt sie mit jedem den ihr kennt!

Den Anfang machte die Piratenpartei Kanada, die die [http://wiki.pirateparty.ca/index.php/Operation_Electronic_Leviathan Operation elektronischer Leviathan] am 16.02.2012 gestartet hat.

=Warum "elektronischer Leviathan"?=
Das Konzept des [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_leviathan Electronic Leviathan] wurde auf der Basis eines Forschungsprojekts zum Thema Elektronische Regierung, ICP-Brasil entwickelt. Im Rahmen dieser Forschung versuchte die Brasilianische Regierung, die Kontrolle über das Internet zu erlangen um die Anarchie der weltweiten Vernetzung zu begradigen.

Wir von der Piratenpartei glauben, dass dieses Projekt nicht nur gut erkennbar macht, welcher Gefahr das Internet seitens verschiedener Staaten ausgesetzt ist, sondern auch, dass das Internet in digitaler Form die komplette Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit von Regierungen ermöglicht.

=Wie du helfen kannst:=

1. Verbreite Bilder aus dem Fundus dieser Operation auf den Sozialen Plattformen, die Du benutzt. Sharing ist unsere mächtigste Waffe, Spread the word!

2. Entwirf Flyer und Infos, die verteilt werden können, um anderen beizubringen, wie sie Privatsphäre und Digitale Unabhängligkeit fördern können.

3. Lerne die Wege kennen, die dir deine Privatssphäre und digitale Unabhängigkeit sichern. Beginne anonyme Netzwerke wie [http://www.i2p2.de/ I2P] und [http://freenetproject.org Freenet] zu nutzen. Fang damit an verschlüsselt zu surfen, z.B. mit [https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere HTTPS Everywhere]. Beschäftige dich mit copyleft Lizenzen um die Freiheit der Kultur zu bewahren [http://www.fsf.org/about/what-is-free-software Free Software Foundation]. Lerne wie du deine Text-Kommunikation verschlüsseln kannst ( Facebook Nachrichten, Textnachrichten auf deinem Handy, etc.) was mit [http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/ Off-the-Record] und [http://www.gnupg.org/ GNU Privacy Guard] möglich ist.

- Use the [http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/ OTR] plugin for [http://www.pidgin.im/ Pidgin] to encrypt chat on Facebook, MSN, IRC, AIM, and more.
